Construction Manager as Advisor (CMa)
One option is to have Hurd continue forward strictly as an advisor through the construction phase. In this continued role of Construction Manager as Advisor CMa, we will help you select the right contractors and manage them on your behalf. In this advisor-only capacity, contracting and financial risk remains with the owner but Hurd provides comprehensive oversight, support, and monitoring of all work throughout the project on your behalf including:
Contractor bid management, cost comparisons, awards, and contract administration. Shop drawing reviews, permitting, safety, risk, and insurance oversight.
Documented roles, responsibilities, and deliverables to the owner. Master schedule creation, phase planning, vendor sequencing, milestone reporting, and change management.
Communication management across architectural, design, engineering, trades, specialties, and regulatory authorities. Construction monitoring, inspections, progress reporting, punch list oversight, warranty and maintenance administration.
Budget management, financial analysis, and cost reporting. Preparation of pay applications, waivers, and affidavits and administrative support.
Construction Manager as Constructor (CMc)
As both a construction manager and licensed general contractor, Hurd gives you a great second option to build your project. With our Construction Manager as Constructor CMc solution, we provide a firm fixed price to build your project as your prime contractor “at-risk”. In this option, we give you all the support of our CMa option plus the added assurance of Hurd assuming 100% of the construction contract risk giving you complete assurance of your budget and timeline.
