Brandon Hurd
President
Recently winning the 2020 ICSC Leader Under 40, Brandon Hurd is experienced and strategic and brings winning solutions to his clients. In 2014, Brandon founded Hurd Construction Management with the primary goal of helping owners and businesses avoid the pain and cost of poor construction planning. Brandon saw that owners and occupiers often do not receive strategic construction guidance during the project planning stage. This inspired his creation of a firm dedicated to providing essential guidance and support beyond the role of the building contractor.
Brandon is passionate about delivering elevated and long-term value through early investment in time, energy and resources. In 2017, Brandon expanded Hurd’s offerings to help brands scale construction operations throughout all of Florida and the Southeast US as businesses strengthen market position, modernize operations, and digitally transform their business models.
Brandon is committed to maintaining the personal touch and care Hurd has always been known for, even as the company continues to scale. He believes in hiring great people and empowering them to make decisions, and he passionately guides his teams to be flexible, decisive, and strategic.
Brandon holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Florida and Technical Certificates from Seminole State College. He holds state contractor’s licenses in Florida and Georgia and is a licensed real estate broker in Florida.
When Brandon isn’t meeting with customers or coaching his teams, you will find him socializing with friends and family. He also enjoys golf and water recreation, and he is currently pursuing his childhood interest of taking flight lessons.

It was a pleasure working with the entire HURD team. Literally everyone was intelligent, hardworking, talented, knew and performed their jobs well. There’s usually at least one guy that doesn’t measure up…. but I have yet to find him at HURD. On to the next!

We started with a traditional GC approach and found the work we had to internally manage was too costly and time-consuming. After evaluating different alternatives, we found HURD’s services and value proposition was among the best in the industry. Since late 2021, we engaged HURD to manage a programmatic and scalable expansion project that aims to have 185 stores built in Florida over 5 years. We have had a very positive experience and HURD now serves as our outsourced project development department.

Luckily, when faced with the challenge of rebranding, we already had an established, trusted partner in place who could handle the concurrent renovations of all 14 of our Florida retail dispensaries. Adding how 2021 was a unique year with pandemic-related challenges, Hurd’s depth throughout Florida helped alleviate many of those pressures. They were consistently strong throughout the entire process and very active in solving issues each step of the way.
All the right questions were asked. Brandon has a really great way of explaining things in layman’s terms which was invaluable to me as the business owner. Hurd Construction Management was very easy to work with and I cannot say enough for all the people that worked on our project.
